VocoPro ProKJ-380 Pro Karaoke System Reviews 3

Paid $1300 online. Was upgrading from a beginner system. I was looking for a way to supplement my DJ gigs without going in an entirely different direction. Truth be told, I probably could have just bought a CD-G player and used my existing PA.

Pretty much all in one package. The ProKJ-380 system includes a DA-3600 Pro 200W digital karaoke mixing amplifier with effects loop; a DVG-380K multi-format karaoke player; a pair of SV-500 3-way, 10" karaoke vocal speakers; a PROKJ-3 road case, 2 speaker stands, and 2 professional karaoke microphones. Everything you'd need to get started.

I don't believe the unit supports the new karaoke dvd disks that play much nicer backgrounds, etc. I believe that's the latest thing out so I'm not surprised if this unit doesn't play them, but if I had to pick one thing that would be it.

Pretty good construction and quality. The stands are pretty sturdy as are the speaker cabs and they will probably withstand some road abuse. For the price range, it's about as durable as I guess I would expect.

Overall, pretty pleased. As I mentioned earlier I probably could have gotten away with just getting the player and lugging all of my other PA gear around, but I'm kind of glad I didn't. Plus, now I have a cheap backup system if anything would ever happen.
